It is a canton of the Province of Pichincha, Ecuador. Its cantonal head is the city of Sangolquí. Natural and gastronomic tourist destination par excellence.

The Canton of Rumiñahui is the smallest and most diverse tourist destination located south-east of the Pichincha Province.
