It is a canton of the Province of Tungurahua, Ecuador. Its cantonal head is the city of Tisaleo.
The Tisaleo canton borders the Ambato Canton in the north and west, and in the south and east with Mocha and Cevallos. Due to the recent creation of this jurisdiction, there is no great development as an administrative unit or in the different development elements. Its territory is divided into two parishes, the central parish or cantonal head that bears the name of the canton and Quinchicoto that is found as a nucleated human settlement at the southeast end of the territory. The community settled in the town is eminently rural and the closest center that is the city of Ambato is a few minutes away, which is why its communication is direct in all aspects. Similarly, it communicates easily with the other cantons through paved roads and with several accesses to them. As can be seen on the provincial map, other cantons of the province surround its territory.
