It is a canton of the Province of Morona Santiago, Ecuador. Its cantonal head is the city of Pablo Sexto.
Intercultural land between Shuar and mestizos, natural abode of wildlife and exuberant vegetation. Rivers like the Palora and Tuna Chiguaza, receive visitors with wonderful waterfalls, home to many wild animals. The Kunkup reserve allows tourists to take walks on adventure trails in the middle of subtropical rainforests. At the end of the charming way you can refresh yourself and leave all the bad vibes in the sacred Sangay waterfall, you can also spot animals such as the saino, tapir, and vegetables such as wild chontaduro, Killi, pambil. There is an important biodiversity in this canton, this is the case of the Heliconias farm, a favorite place for sport fishing and refreshing baths in millenary watersheds. Being a canton with cultural diversity, the Shuar festivities are many, among which stand out: the tuntui festival, which is a millennial expression through musical instruments. The festival of chonta and yucca is celebrated by the whole community, from the prosperous harvest of food. Gastronomy is another tourist attraction that this canton possesses, chicha de yuca, chicha de chonta, chicha de chonta, maitos, stew of guanta, guatusa awaken the admiration of tourists due to the ancient techniques that the shuar use to conserve these fresh foods for several days.

The vegetal formations that are around are structured of both primary forest species and some intervened areas that are in succession period, giving an environment, quite peculiar with species such as: pambil, chambira, raft, uvilla, blood of drago, guarango, and above all orchids, which adorn the entire environment in flowering period.
