It is a canton of the Province of Los Ríos, Ecuador. Its cantonal head is the city of Quinsaloma.
The city of Quinsaloma is located in the eastern part of the Province of Los Ríos, two hours from Guayaquil and four hours from the capital of Ecuador, Quito. It is a distinctly agricultural city where several products are produced and marketed: coffee, cocoa, corn, rice, soybeans, passion fruit, pulses, banana and citrus.
